Rushe-DeRaedt

Mr. and Mrs. R. Robert Rushe of Herndon announce the May 24, 2008 marriage of their daughter, Maura Elizabeth, to Daan De Raedt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfried De Raedt of Mortsel, Belgium.

The afternoon wedding was celebrated at St. Carolus Borromeus Catholic Church in the city of Antwerp, Belgium followed by a reception at Kasteel van Brasschaat in Brasschaat, Belgium.

Regan Hiatt, college friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Catherine Kenworthy, friend of the bride, Goele DeRaedt, sister of the groom, and Dominique Rushe, sister-in-law of the bride. Koen Donckers, longtime friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Dries DeRaedt, brother of the groom, Dennis Mertens, friend of the groom, and Ryan Rushe, brother of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School and James Madison University. She is a senior associate in the structured finance group of PricewaterhouseCoopers in the company's Washington, D.C. office.

The groom attended high school in Belgium before moving to the states. He is working toward an associate's degree from Northern Virginia Community College with plans to study economics at George Mason University. He is a real estate agent with ReMax Premier in Fairfax and a tennis professional for Reston Association.

Following a honeymoon to the Greek Island of Santorini, a stateside brunch for the couple was held July 19, 2008, at the Ritz-Carlton in McLean. The De Raedts are at home in Falls Church.

Mikayla Lane Zakrzewski

Mike and Heather Zakrzewski of Potomac Falls announce the birth of their daughter, Mikayla Lane. Mikayla was born April 25, 2008, at 4:25 a.m., and she weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.ÊHer maternal grandmother is Janet Miller of Herndon and her paternal grandparents are Edwin and Barbara Zakrzewski of Reston.

Koen Fredricks

Koen Peter Fredricks was born at at The Birthing Inn at Inova Loudoun Hospital at 5:58 p.m. Sept. 24, 2008, to Richard and Virginia Fredricks of Herndon. Koen weighed 7 pounds, 14.3 ounces, and he measured 20 inches long. He has one sister, Victoria Anido, and he is the grandson of Billie Kling, Thomas Clifton, Deborah and Lou Papas and the late Peter Fredricks.

Trevyn Summey

Trevyn Elijah Summey was born Sept. 23, 2008, to Craig and Leilanie Summey of Sterling. Trevyn weighed 4.15 pounds and measured 18 inches. He is the brother of Asia and Tahj Summey.
