New Micro Brewfest Comes to Town
Vintage 50 Restaurant & Brew Lounge of Leesburg brings Loudoun County its first annual Moore Cadillac Hummer Northern Virginia Summer Brewfest. The Summer Brewfest will celebrate American beer and will be held June 21 to 22 at Morven Park in Leesburg, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Currently featuring more than 40 breweries pouring their best American style beers, the Brewfest will have a flavor and style of beer available for every palate. Some brewers will discuss how their beer is made, how to brew your own, beer and food pairing and the intricacies of each particular beer being poured, making this an educational adventure for both the novice and seasoned beer taster alike.
Local restaurants will be on hand to provide favorites to eat while sampling the many beers. Items including chicken wings, chili, barbeque and other summertime items will be available to purchase. In addition, more than 30 different vendors will be there with items such as jewelry, clothing, sunglasses and hats, along with many vendors sampling products such as locally made cheeses and other Virginia made products.
Local and regional musical groups will be playing throughout the day Saturday and Sunday. The band lineup will start early and continue throughout the day to include Old Man Brown, Politicks, Everyone But Pete, Road Soda, Shag, The Monster Band and The Crawdaddies. The Summer Brewfest also features childrenŐs activities, including face painting, air-brush tattooing, moon bounces and a 20 foot portable climbing wall.
