I want to applaud the work of Herndon's municipal workers after the storm on June 4. It had not even finished raining before several trucks pulled up in front of our yard to begin the job of cutting and hauling a tree that had fallen down into our driveway and the street in front of our house.
I was impressed that the workers were responding so quickly. Furthermore, I was amazed to see that they were not only moving the branches out of the street but that they were cutting and hauling them away. Herndon saved us hundreds of dollars in tree service before the storm was even over.
